I shall keep warning the Ummah against the evil of ‪#‎ Selfie_taking‬and ‪#‎ Dabbing‬until someone will refute me with credible evidences from the Qur’ān and Sunnah. This evil, which originated from the West has entered into every Muslim home in Nigeria that today, we see Muslim ladies; both the unmarried and married displaying this madness for public view.

The Rasuul (pbuh) had said, عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَتَتَّبِعُنَّ سَنَنَ مَنْ قَبْلَكُمْ شِبْرًا بِشِبْرٍ وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ حَتَّى لَوْ سَلَكُوا جُحْرَ ضَبٍّ لَسَلَكْتُمُوهُقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى قَالَ فَمَنْ"

“You will certainly follow the ways of those who came before you hand span by hand span, cubit by cubit, to the extent that if they entered the hole of a lizard, you will enter it too.” We said: “O Messenger of Allaah, (do you mean) the Jews and the Christians?” He said: “Who else?”

As a father, your nuclear family is your constituency for which you're accountable to Allah on the Day of Judgement. If you allow your wives and children to indulge in this madness and stupidity, you shall definitely account for it before Allah.
